you believe in GOD ?

Professor : You are a Christian, aren’t you, son ?

Student : Yes, sir.

Professor: So, you believe in GOD ?

Student : Absolutely, sir.

Professor : Is GOD good ?

Student : Sure.

Professor: Is GOD all powerful ?

Student : Yes.

Professor: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn’t. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?

(Student was silent.)

Professor: You can’t answer, can you ? Let’s start again, young fella. Is GOD good?

Student : Yes.

Professor: Is satan good ?

Student : No.

Professor: Where does satan come from ?

Student : From … GOD …

Professor: That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?

Student : Yes.

Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?

Student : Yes.

Professor: So who created evil ?

(Student did not answer.)

Professor: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?

Student : Yes, sir.

Professor: So, who created them ?

(Student had no answer.)

Professor: Science says you have 5 Senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son, have you ever seen GOD?

Student : No, sir.

Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your GOD?

Student : No , sir.

Professor: Have you ever felt your GOD, tasted your GOD, smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any sensory perception of GOD for that matter?

Student : No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.

Professor: Yet you still believe in Him?

Student : Yes.

Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?

Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.

Professor: Yes, faith. And that is the problem Science has.

Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?

Professor: Yes.

Student : And is there such a thing as cold?

Professor: Yes.

Student : No, sir. There isn’t.

(The lecture theater became very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There was pin-drop silence in the lecture theater.)

Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?

Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?

Student : You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light. But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it is, well you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?

Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man ?

Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.

Professor: Flawed ? Can you explain how?

Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good GOD and a bad GOD. You are viewing the concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.

Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Professor: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.

Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going.)

Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor. Are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

(The class was in uproar.)

Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?

(The class broke out into laughter. )

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Professor: I guess you’ll have to take them on faith, son.

Student : That is it sir … Exactly ! The link between man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that keeps things alive and moving.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

why me????

He was the king of people's hearts! Each goal scored by him was met with roaring applause! But fate chose to play a different game wid this football player and one fine day dreaded cancer scored a goal in his life's field...
Everyone was saddened! The Mother, heartbroken, prayed, 'why my son?why him?why did U giv him cancer?' The son, on hearing this, said, 'When amongst milion people I was selected to play football, when amongst all d team mates I got the most of all the name and fame, did u ever ask God why my son and why not others?'
Don't we constantly face similar situations?! Life is full of twists! Sometimes it makes you the hero of the crowd and sometimes it doesn't even give u the opportunity to be a part of d crowd! Ups and downs are a part of life...Its our tendency to be so happy during our happy days that we forget our base!We lose our touch to reality and behave like royalty also sometimes forgetting the people who brought you to that particular stage...But when are falling low in life, none of us would hav forgotten to play blame game!

We always question God in our bad days... Why me? What have I done to deserve this! But have you ever looked within yourself and tried to find the fault in there? What went wrong? We don't. We may pass it off sayin that it's just human nature, but at the end of the day we're just findin somethin else to put the blame on and feelin better...

Life is simple, it's we who complicate it...Actually life teaches us lessons but we are not ready to learn and accept it! And then the blaming circle begins... Just try this once... in any tough situation, find out why and how u got into it and bingo! you might just find your solution...There has to b one! Just explore... M not saying its gonna be easy but I'm saying its gonna be worth it!!

                                                                                                                                                   Sarthak

life...its all about how we live......

Once a primary school teacher was correcting essay competition papers in her living room when her husband came in n found tears rolling down her eyes!! Concerned, he asked her,"what happened?". she showed him a paper and asked him to read it.
It was essay on 'what will u ask for if God grants me 1 wish?'. The kid had written thus... 'If God asks me to ask for a wish I would wish to become a tv!!
A tv which has great place in everyone's heart!people would stay around me, love & take care of me,listen what I have to say patiently! They would take care of me even when I'm switched off! If i were a tv I could give company to my dad when he comes home tired! Mom would wish to listen, spend time in front of me to cheer up when she's sad or upset instead of neglecting me!my siblings would fight for me!People would spend time with me irrespective of their busy schedule! I could make their life more happier full of joy and colours!!please God grant me this wish!!Make me a TV!
To this teachers husband reacted saying that how can a family be so negligent to their child and not play with him, listen to & spend time with him!! It's irresponsible on their part to neglect their duty towards their child...To which teacher replied with wet eyes in a soft voice "its written by our son!!!

"Have u ever wondered about such things that happen around us all the time? We are so much into technology, in a materealistic world that we forget abt our loved ones!we run behind money to give the best facilities to our family, but in that race we 4get that most importantly - our loved ones need OUR presence to enjoy all of that.
Do u remember the time when u used to come home 4m school and ur parents used to listen ardently to what u did in school, every single detail! do u listen to ur kid now?? On the other side of the argument... The kids... Do u talk to ur parents after u come back from work? When was the last time u spent quality time with your family or called up ur friend recently just to catch up on old times? most of us won't remember !!Just imagine a situation wherein ur depressed since d start of d day and suddenly u get a smile 4m a complete stranger!! It makes u feel better! If an unkown persons 1 smile can cure ur anger, frustration & depression, just imagine the same will make such a big difference with ur family, loved ones...
Just spend 15 minutes with ur parents, kids, family members! Talk to them...it will make u feel good plus it will reduce ur daily load of tension. It may bring you'll closer. Call up ur long lost friend just to say hi,it feels good...coz showing that you care makes a difference...so start today! After all love is d only thing that makes the world a better place to live!!:)

                                                                                                                          Sarthak!!!

being me

I wish I could give you my pain,
So you can feel the things I do.
Just for one day.

I wish I could give you my eyes,
So you can see all the fears I do,
Just for one day.

I want you to walk in my place for one day,
To hear what I hear,
To see the world the way I do,
To be me just for one day

Maybe then you would really understand,
That it isn’t easy,
Being me.

If you were to spend just one day as me,
All your colours would be taken away,

If you were to be me for just one single day,
You would know then why I fear the things I do,
Why I am the way I am
Why it hurts to smile and why,
It feels like weakness to cry.

And you would know why the smallest things,
Make so much difference to me,
The few words to tell me I will be okay,
The few words that say,
I am never alone.

At least,
If you spent one day as me,
You could go back to being you again,
It’s not that easy for me,
I’m here as me all of the time,
For a lot more than,
Just one day......

unconditional love

A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam. He called his parents from San Francisco.

"Mom and Dad, I'm coming home, but I've a favor to ask. I have a friend I'd like to bring home with me."

"Sure," they replied, "we'd love to meet him."

"There's something you should know the son continued, "he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mind and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come live with us."

"I'm sorry to hear that, son. Maybe we can help him find somewhere to live."

"No, Mom and Dad, I want him to live with us."

"Son," said the father, "you don't know what you're asking. Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live, and we can't let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He'll find a way to live on his own."

At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were told. The police believed it was suicide. The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they also discovered something they didn't know, their son had only one arm and one leg.

The parents in this story are like many of us. We find it easy to love those who are good-looking or fun to have around, but we don't like people who inconvenience us or make us feel uncomfortable. We would rather stay away from people who aren't as healthy, beautiful, or smart as we are. Thankfully, there's someone who won't treat us that way. Someone who loves us with an unconditional love that welcomes us into the forever family, regardless of how messed up we are.

Tonight, before you tuck yourself in for the night, say a little prayer that God will give you the strength you need to accept people as they are, and to help us all be more understanding of those who are different from us!!!

There's a miracle called Friendship That dwells in the heart You don't know how it happens Or when it gets started But you know the special lift It always brings And you realize that Friendship Is God's most precious gift!

Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their hearts to us.

You Must Be a Gujju If......

This is so true...

You Must Be a Gujju If...

- You have at least 1 relative in the stock market.

- You're never worried about what happens if you get stranded in
Ghatkopar. All you'd have to do, you know, is walk across the road and
find a relative. (Still easier, just shout, "Mama! Masi! Faiba! Kaka!"
a couple of times. At least one is bound to be around.)

- You don't worry about being stranded in New Jersey. You've been told
by everyone that the thing to do at such a time is to open the
telephone directory, turn to "Shah" and call any number for help.

- You measure the success of a wedding by how many people praised the food.

- You believe Narendra Modi is the solution to everything. From your
hair to the nation's defence.

- You understand that when someone says "Dhirajbhai no babo" or
"Maniben ni baby", the "baba" and "baby" in question could be 40 years
old.

- You either think the garba is the coolest thing ever, or you wonder
why the whole world makes such a big deal out of it.

- No packing for any trip is complete without thepla.

- Winter = undhiyo.

- Summer = keri no ras.

- Monsoon = have su karvanoo?!

- You assume (in marital situations) that because Mara bhai na vevai
ni dikri na sasu gave a recommendation, the person in question is
virtue personified.

- You have no problems with love marriages. You just view them as a
last resort, that's it.

- You may not donate anything to the orphanage down the road, but when
there's a calamity in Gujarat, you send truckloads of money, food and
amenities.

- You're so attuned to smiling and laughing for no reason at any given
social occasions, that funerals become odd for you. (Non-Gujju
funerals, that is. At Gujju funerals, everyone has the same problem,
so they understand.)

- You tear off the name & address from any postal cover before throwing the cover away.(God knows what will happen if someone finds ur address)

- You know what "doodh cold drink" (pronounced doodh coal dreenk) is.
